How it Works… Products based on SARA Technology work in a completely different way compared to conventional strippers. Unique ingredients in these products open up the pores in the coating system and travel through those pores until they reach the substrate. This process induces physical stress in the coating, which destabilizes the adhesive bond between the coating and the substrate. The coating lifts slightly and the vacuum created at the interface is quickly filled by oxygen gas released from the product. The resulting explosive change in pressure destroys the remaining adhesion. Lifting in large pieces, the coating can be scraped off or washed off with water, leaving the substrate prepared and ready for the new coating. Four Phases of Coating Removal… S A R A
